The Statewide Life-changing Experience!
Talent Rise Corporation is formulated to create a series of entertainment-driven workshops for individuals with and without disabilities and life-threatening health circumstances. The workshops will help our future leaders in the arts become more equipped for work in the industry, whether as a performing artist or behind the scenes in production. The main goal of this program is to enhance inclusiveness, by helping all disabled persons access opportunities for performance art production.
Workshops
Our workshops are designed for the entertainment industry. Anyone can attend our workshops, as we will intently look for participants with disabilities and extenuating health circumstances as well. Our workshops will include programs that focus on behind-the-scenes production, such as "Introduction to becoming a Booking Agent, Introduction to Publicity, Concert Photography Training, etc." and courses for Artists on Stage like, "What Not to Wear," "So you want to become a Comedian 101," "Comedy 202," etc. You can see and sign up for all the Workshop Listings on our Performance and Production Links to the left on our website.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORKSHOP COMPLETION
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to be considered for participation in the Live Theater Production, called "Ohio Talent Seeker's Reality TV Talent Competition."
Arts workshop participants can enroll in the competition as contestants. Just like the reality TV shows, we will have a series of live show competitions (4 or 5) that will narrow it down to a winner who wins the grand prize. Local celebrity judges critique each act and have an influence on the voting combined with the voting of the audience, online voting and the text messaging community. A final winner will be chosen at the finale. Starting in season IV, we will also add a second prize for the best act that falls under the disabled performing artist roster. That act will receive a grand prize as well.
Workshop participants who studied on the production side will have the opportunity to be invited to intern for the production side of "Ohio Talent Seeker's Competition" throughout the season. They will work alongside a professional in their craft, gaining hands-on experience behind the stage scenes, audition setups, and all things involved in production for the show. The knowledge and experience they gain will take them far in the entertainment community.

Meet Raya Smith
Singer
Special Needs: Autistic
Raya Smith is a singer who is Autistic. Her mother put her through voice lessons and as she said: "It was something that Raya grew to love." Raya was in our current Season III production. She made it to round III and then she was eliminated. Communication was limited when speaking with Raya, but when it was time to perform, she spruced up, stepped into the spotlight and did her thing. Her notes could get as high as Mariah Carrey as she belted out her songs. It was a pleasure having Raya and her mother on the Season III journey. We hope helping put Raya in the public spotlight as a singer will take her career to another level as time goes by.
Meet Samantha Manns
Interpretive (Sign Language) Dancer
Special Needs: Utilizes a Seeing Eye Dog
Samantha Manns auditioned for Ohio Talent Seeker's back in our second season. Her interpretive (contemporary dance and sign language dance) style was unique and flowing. She had to drop out of the competition unexpectantly, due to health issues. She had made an inquiry about auditioning again for season III, but she either was not able to audition, or at least we didn't hear back from her. Hopefully, she will come back to audition on season IV.

TESTIMONIES
My son took the hip hop dance class and since day one he really likes it. He has learned a lot of different dance style. He was already doing a lot of his own freestyle moves but this class is highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn new style of dances.

LaMeshia did a very good job. She was trying to “brand” me so that I could have something to focus on. She and I got along well. Have learned much and have new perspective on how my Aspergers affected me and how I can blend that into my story.
